Our mission is to honor the Three Saints
and preserve the tradition of the Feast that was brought to the United
States a century ago from Italy. You can help us continue this cultural
and devoted tradition by participating in our new building campaign
fund and helping us preserve the tradition of our Forefathers for decades
to come.
Thank you for supporting
the Saint Alfio Society.
The members of the Society have considered
the building at 20 Common Street in Lawrence their home and Feast Headquarters
for five decades. The building has functioned as a meeting location,
storage for Feast equipment and has held a small chapel in honor of
the Saints. Time has taken its toll on the structure, and we are now
undertaking a new and exciting building campaign.
True to our roots, we will remain and rebuild right at our present site
on 20 Common Street, for this is where the Feast takes place and this
is our home. Our new building will include a gathering hall and chapel
and be designed in a style similar to the Santuario Sant’ Alfio
church in Trecastagni, Sicily.
To erect a new structure is a significant responsibility and we ask
for your support to help us achieve our goal.
To join our campaign, we are offering brass memorial plaques that will
be on permanent display in our new building. This is an opportunity
for you to honor a loved one or for your business, organization or community
group to support a wonderful tradition. The memorials will be engraved
onto a brass plate secured onto a solid wood plaque. All memorials will
receive a certificate detailing the inscription.
